Issuance of the presidential decree establishing the National Center for Autism – New Algeria

Published in the latest issue of the Official Gazette, Presidential decree Includes the establishment of the National Center for Autism, its tasks, organization and functioning.

A statement by the Ministry of Solidarity revealed, today, Monday, that the establishment of this center comes with the high care of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who had given his instructions regarding strengthening care and assistance. Among the tasks assigned to this center is “preparing programs and curricula related to people with autism at the national level, especially in the field of diagnosis, early detection, rehabilitation and treatment, in addition to designing and implementing a training plan for the benefit of professionals in the field of autism and parents of people with autism,” as well as “implementing, following up and evaluating the completion of the plan for autism that was approved by the President of the Republic on June 1, 2025.”

It will be based in the state of Algiers, where it provides “a qualitative addition in enhancing the care of people with autism spectrum disorder, especially in the field of detection and treatment. It will also be followed by the establishment of specialized centers at the local level, starting with four specialized regional centers that will also undertake the responsibility and care of those affected across the country.”
