Issuance of applied texts to detect drug abuse within educational institutions – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

The Minister of National Education, Mohamed Saghir Saadawi, announced the issuance of applied texts related to detecting the use of drugs and/or psychotropic substances within educational, educational and training institutions, stressing that practical procedures and implementation methods will be communicated later.

This announcement came at the conclusion of a national symposium chaired by the Minister, yesterday evening, Sunday, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Muradiya, via remote video lecture technology, in the presence of frameworks from the central administration, education directors, and delegated directors.

In the same context, Saadawi stressed the necessity of proactive preparation for procedure centers and correction centers, in anticipation of future entitlements, recalling some of the shortcomings that were recorded during the 2025 session, calling for adopting the readiness of the centers as a basic criterion in preparation.

The Minister directed the opening of educational institutions adjacent to the procedure centers, in order to receive candidates, especially those coming from distant regions, during the periods between tests, in addition to providing appropriate conditions inside the correction centers to ensure the comfort of the correctors and the smooth flow of the process.

Regarding the training file, the Minister of National Education reiterated his emphasis on the importance of strengthening coordination between education directors and high school directors for the training of teachers and their annexes, noting the delay of some directorates in providing the central departments with the required data.

He also stressed the necessity of conducting coordination visits to these institutions, within the framework of a partnership with the higher education sector, to review the training conditions and ensure that professor students are able to acquire the necessary practical and theoretical qualifications before they join educational institutions.
