Aziz Fayed stresses the need to accelerate the pace of digitization of the financial sector – Al-Hiwar Algeria

Today, Saturday, Finance Minister Aziz Fayed stressed the need to accelerate the pace of digitization of the financial sector in Algeria, noting the importance of this in the success of the ongoing economic reforms.
Fayed considered, in a congratulatory message addressed to executives and users of the financial sector on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, that “the sector is one of the main actors in the embodiment of various sectoral policies, so its digitization and modernization constitute an urgent necessity for the success of the reforms initiated by the public authorities.”
In this regard, he stressed the necessity of ensuring the continuity of the sector’s modernization path, and accelerating the pace of digitization of all public financial activities at various levels, given the importance of establishing a new system of governance based on efficiency, through the actual dedication of a work culture based on evaluation based on results, from Perspective on improving the quality of public service provided by the sector”.
He also renewed his keenness to consolidate the gains achieved in all areas of tax, budgetary and accounting reform, and to continue seeking to rationalize public spending and add transparency, thus contributing to improving the investment and business climate and financing the national economy.
In his message, the minister expressed his “deep gratitude and appreciation for the continuous efforts made by all executives and employees, in order to raise the challenges related to the financial sector, hoping that these efforts will be crowned with fruits that pour into the endeavors to continue advancing the country towards achieving the desired economic development.”
