In pictures: The Chairman of the Legal, Administrative Affairs and Freedoms Committee receives the Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Justice – Algerian Dialogue

The Chairman of the Legal, Administrative Affairs and Liberties Committee of the National People’s Assembly, Ahmed Abu Bakar, received today, Thursday, at the Council’s headquarters, the Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Justice, Nguyan Khan Goc, and his accompanying delegation, according to a statement by the Council.
The same source explained, “The meeting was an opportunity in which the two parties reviewed the reality of the relations between the two countries, as well as ways to promote them at various levels, especially in the economic and commercial aspect, in order to achieve the common interests of the two friendly peoples.”
By the way, Mr. Boubacar stressed that the relations between Algeria and Vietnam “are deeply rooted in history, as they were characterized by mutual support for the struggle for independence,” recalling, in the same context, “the most important cooperation agreements concluded between the two countries in several sectors, as well as the existing cooperation mechanisms between them.” The two countries are modeled on the Algerian-Vietnamese joint bilateral committee.”
For his part, the Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Justice praised “the level of bilateral relations, which he described as historic and distinguished,” and stressed “his country’s readiness to consolidate them, especially in the legal aspect, after it witnessed a stagnation due to the Corona pandemic.”
At the parliamentary level – the same statement adds – the Chairman of the Committee mentioned some of the laws that have been approved since the beginning of the term, such as the Law on the Prevention of the Risks of Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, Human Trafficking, Judicial Regulation and the Investment Law, pointing out “their importance in modernizing the legal and legislative system and keeping pace with the development that The world is witnessing it in order to build a new Algeria under the leadership of Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President of the Republic.”
Mr. Boubacar also highlighted “the necessity of establishing a parliamentary friendship group to contribute to the exchange of experiences and encourage visits, in addition to exchanging visions and positions on issues of common interest.”
