The National People’s Army has succeeded in intermittent stages in building a solemn defensive force that has formed a protective shield in the darkest difficult stages, as well as a pivotal role at the regional and international levels within the framework of international law in line with its strategic interests and preserves its national security and the vision it adopts on the following main axes:
1- Participating in the tasks of peacekeeping abroad within the framework of international legitimacy, as the document of the new constitution has clearly spoken of “transmission” and “participation” in peacekeeping operations under the banner of the United Nations and emphasized in exchange for the principles of the institution’s military faith, which stipulates that no military operations or military actions outside the national soil, with the exception of achieving security and peace according to the requirements of international legitimacy.
2_ The second axis relates to contributing to resolving conflicts, tensions and wars, whether at the regional or international levels through the mechanisms of dialogue and consultation and achieving compatibility and work with the parties concerned, especially at the regional level with the aim of containing terrorist groups and organized crime that has become a real problem for the countries of the African Sahel region, especially in light of the security crises that suffer from and exacerbate foreign interference in the region and the goal of the region This is all aborting attempts to weaken the national state and prejudice its interests and prestige.
3- The third and final axis is to enhance Algeria’s strategic position, whether in its geographical environment or at the international level in line with the accelerated threats and international changes.
