The services of the State of Algiers, represented by the administrative districts, executive directorates, and state public institutions, have harnessed all their human and material capabilities to immediately intervene to remove stagnant water, dust, and stones brought out by the sea waves, with operations to clean up the ocean, according to a statement of the interests of the State of Algiers, today, Wednesday.

This was done as a result of the weather fluctuations witnessed by the state of Algiers, yesterday, Tuesday, and the resulting significant increase in the percentage of rainfall, which reached 54 mm, in addition to the turbulence of the sea and the rise of wave water at a number of sites on the waterfront of the capital, such as Al-Sablat Park and Kitani Square Park, without recording any losses.

According to the statement, in anticipation of Hurricane Harry, which is expected to hit the Mediterranean basin, the state authorities have activated the alert system to avoid disasters.

It should be noted that, before the beginning of the fall semester, the Algerian state departments had begun implementing a plan to carry out periodic operations to clean drains and waterways across all municipalities, as a precautionary measure to avoid accidents caused by weather fluctuations.
