In anticipation of Eid al-Adha…the President of the Republic orders the import of one million sheep – New Algeria

The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, decided to import one million heads of sheep, in anticipation of Eid Al-Adha, and the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries was assigned to immediately begin taking the necessary measures to implement the decision.

The Prime Minister informed the members of the government of the President of the Republic’s decision to support the national livestock market on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, by importing one million sheep, during his presidency of the Government Council.

The meeting also learned that the government is studying a draft executive decree that specifies how professionals can benefit from accommodation at the level of accommodation structures affiliated with the employer or at the level of residences affiliated with public institutions for vocational training.

The government also listened to a presentation on the progress of implementing complementary programs for the states of Khenchela, Tissemsilt, Djelfa and Tindouf, and also a presentation on the annual report on major hazards for the year 2024, which concerns an analysis of the outcome of the most important hazards recorded in 2024, and aspects of preparedness and response to disasters.
