Important notification regarding the car voucher for the year 2026 – New Algeria

The General Directorate of Taxes announced, in a statement on Sunday, the launch of the car voucher acquisition process for the tax year 2026, starting today, Sunday, March 1, 2026, with an exceptional extension of the deadline to May 31, 2026 instead of March 31.
According to the directorate’s statement, the voucher will be distributed at the national level through the windows of tax collectors and Algeria post offices, provided that the voucher will be available in paper form starting April 1, 2026, explaining that citizens can purchase the car voucher online 7 days a week, 7 days a day, and 24 hours a day, from the beginning of March 1 until May 31, 2026, via the dedicated digital platform. “Your voucher” using your bank card (CIB) or gold card, via the link:

The Directorate’s statement explained that the coupon purchased online is not affixed to the windshield of the vehicle, but it must be presented upon request during traffic control, whether in paper or digital form. The voucher can also be reissued without paying any additional amount if it is lost, damaged or stolen.
The source indicated that there has been no amendment to the definitions of the automobile voucher within the Finance Law of 2026, with the exception of subjecting vehicles equipped with a gasoline-gas dual fuel system to the definition of the voucher, in exchange for exempting electric and hybrid cars.
The Directorate called on vehicle owners to review the legal fees applied to their cars through the tariff table attached to the report. As for utility vehicles, the value of the voucher is determined according to its load.
It also confirmed that temporary driving cards (yellow cards) are treated like a (gray card), and their holders must acquire the voucher within 30 days from the date of placing the vehicle to drive on national territory.
