Today, Sunday, the Meteorological Department warned of heavy snowfall on the interior highlands of the country.
According to a special bulletin issued by the same departments, the snow will affect the highlands whose height exceeds 1000 to 1100 metres, especially in the states of Blida, Medea, Bouira, Tizi Ouzou and Bejaia, where the thickness of the snow is expected to range between 5 and 10 centimetres, until 12:00 in the afternoon.
The warnings also included the highlands of the states of Tlemcen and Sidi Bel Abbes, with snow thicknesses ranging between 5 and 15 centimeters recorded.
In the same context, the meteorological services warned of snowfall on the highlands of the states of Naama, Tiaret, Tissemsilt, Saida, North El Bayadh, Laghouat and Djelfa, with a thickness ranging between 5 and 10 centimetres, until midday.
