Handball: Bushkerio begins preparing for the African Cup

The coach of the first national handball team, Saleh Bushkerio, announced the team list for the preparatory camp that will be held in the capital.

The technical director summoned 21 players, and the team will begin training on Monday, with the camp extending for a full week.

Bushkerio aims to prepare for the important date that awaits the team early next year, when it will participate in the 27th edition of the African Championship in Rwanda between January 21 and 31.

Lokil, Awashria, and Al-Imam are among the technical staff

The appearance of coach Saleh Bouchkerio at the forefront of the technical staff, confirming his assumption of the position by the Algerian Federation in the absence of an official announcement by the body led by Mourad Bousbet.

The former coach of Ittihad Ouargla recorded his return to the first team only months after receiving the technical crossbar for the under-19 category.

Bouchkario will be accompanied by the trio Abdelghani Loukil, Radwan Awashria and Sufyan Al-Imam.

The former left winger of the national team, Abdelghani Loukil, went through the same experience with coach Farouk Dhili, as he has a comprehensive overview of the level of most of the current national team.

Like Loukel, the current national team’s roster will benefit from the experience of the national team’s star in the 1990s, Redouane Aouachria, who was crowned with Loukel in the 1996 African Nations Championship in Benin.

Awashrieh went through professional experiences that spanned a decade in France, and followed that with a coaching career there and another in Qatar and a short experience as assistant coach with the first team in 2011.

In turn, the former goalkeeper of the Mouloudia Club of Oran and the national team, Sofiane Al-Emam, is one of the names capable of providing the necessary addition, especially to the teammates of the brilliant Khalifa Ghadban.
