The Director General of the National Office for Hajj and Umrah, Saleh Bouterfa, revealed that more than 20 percent of pilgrims have paid the costs of the 2024 Hajj across the states.

The Bureau announced in a statement yesterday, Sunday, that citizens concerned with performing the Hajj rituals for this season, and who have obtained a certificate of success for performing the Hajj rituals for this season, and a health booklet, a certificate of health qualification to perform the Hajj rituals, are invited to go to the Bank of Algeria branch at the level of each state to pay the cost of the Hajj. The same source indicated that those concerned must be accompanied by a biometric passport with a validity period of no less than 6 months, starting from the date of June 14, 2024, a certificate of success issued by the municipal authorities for this season 1445 AH / 2024 AD, and a health qualification certificate issued by the state medical committee.
After paying Hajj dues, they will receive a payment receipt for the cost of Hajj services, estimated at: 670,000,00 DZD, and a receipt for payment of the travel ticket, estimated at: 170,000,00 DZD, the statement adds.
The Hajj and Umrah Office clarified that the rest of the required administrative steps and procedures will be announced later in accordance with the time deadlines specified for them.
