Highlight Prime Minister Saifi Gharib, the importance of the economic opportunities available in the North African region and its role in linking Europe And Africa And the countries of the Mediterranean Basin within the framework of regional integration, today, Thursday, in Algiers.
While supervising the opening ceremony of a high-level symposium entitled “North Africa: Connecting Continents and Promoting Opportunities,” Gharib explained that the topic of this meeting “expresses the hopes and promising opportunities that abound in the North African region, as well as the strategic vision that recognizes the North African region’s historical and strategic role, as a pivotal link between Africa and Europe and between the Mediterranean Basin and Africa.”
He added that the North African region has formed throughout history “a space for the movement of people, the flow of goods, and an environment for the mixing of ideas and dialogue of cultures, and today we are called upon to consolidate this identity and modernize its worlds to face current challenges.”
The Prime Minister also praised the quality of the existing partnership between the Bank of Algeria and the International Monetary Fund to enhance global economic and financial stability, advance sustainable development, and consolidate international economic cooperation.
