Ghadban renews his contract with German Erlangen

The Erlangen club, active in the German Handball League, renewed the contract of its Algerian international goalkeeper, Khalifa Ghadban, while he was with the national team in Rwanda to participate in the African Championship.
The first contract he signed after joining Erlangen from Macedonia’s Orofarm Pelister two years ago expires next summer.
The German club’s management revealed that Ghadban is an essential part of the young coach Johannes Sellen (35 years old).
The tall goalkeeper (2.02 meters) was absent from his club recently, after participating with the national team in the 27th edition of the African Cup of Nations.
The Algerian Sebai showed a poor performance, finishing the competition in fourth place after losing the ranking match against the Cape Verde Islands with a score of 23-29.
Angry statistics in Germany
Erlangen praised the levels presented by Khalifa Ghadhban since the start of the current season.
The goalkeeper participated in 19 matches, scoring 108 saves with a success rate of 27.34 percent, according to statistics from the German League.
Ghadban is playing his second season in the “Bundesliga”, where his team is ranked twelfth with 14 points.
Khalifa excelled in some league matches, most notably against Leipzig, where he blocked twelve shots and contributed to Erlangen’s 30-26 victory.
It should be noted that Ghadban played professionally at the Petroleum Complex Club in Algeria before moving to Europe.
He began his career at the Spanish club Puente Genil, then left for Macedonian club Vardar, where he unleashed his potential and achieved great successes, most notably winning the Champions League in 2019 at the expense of the powerful Hungarian club Veszprém.
Ghadban also carried the colors of Spain’s Adhemar Leon, Romania’s Dynamo Bucharest, Qatar’s Al Rayyan on loan, and then Macedonian Orofarm.
