In a speech followed on his behalf by the Deputy of the African Union Commission, Malika Salamah Haddadi, Mahmoud Ali Youssef said that this fourth African commercial exhibition held in Algeria comes “at the appropriate time”, describing it as “strategic.”
He explained that this exhibition addresses the measures that Africa must take now, which is represented in innovation, added value and manufacturing so that the continent does not remain a source of raw raw materials, but rather becomes an engineer for industries that will enhance its prosperity.
In addition, he pointed out that the exhibition “has emerged as a market for investment and numbers, witnesses this success since the first edition of 2018 with the participation of more than a thousand exhibitors and obligations of $ 32 billion, which jumped to 42 billion despite the Korona pandemic, and today the Algerian edition is more promising,” adding that every exhibition “near the continent is the aspirations of the African Union’s agenda 2063: Africa is integrated, connected and prosperous.”
He added in the context that “these are not just deals, but rather the basic fabric of an integrated continent with development, stability, comprehensive growth, sustainability and common aspiration.”
He pointed out that the Union of Africa continues to work for the continent’s development, through the African continental free trade zone and in close cooperation with African institutionsEspecially the African Export and Import Bank.
