From the pulpit of Algeria to Gaza, Friday sermons … screams of support and sympathy

Speaking to the newspaper “Al -Hiwar”, one of the worshipers in the capital says: “We cry with the imam, we shake, we grieve, but when we go out as we were as we were… We need the mosques to turn this feeling into work, into support convoys, into awareness meetings, into donation boxes.” A professor in Islamic studies believes that: “Speeches are influential, but they are not enough alone. What is required today is not only supplication but organized work, there must be committees in every mosque, coordinating with the Red Crescent and with associations, to translate support into something tangible, Gaza does not only need our tears, but also our awareness.”
