Frank leaves the London club

Danish coach Thomas Frank was dismissed from coaching the first team of the English club Tottenham Hotspur this morning.

The club wrote on its official website: “We were determined to give him sufficient time and the necessary support to build the future, but the results and levels prompted the executive office to make a change during this period of the season.”

The London club appointed Thomas Frank last June to succeed Australian Ange Bosticoglu.

The technical director gained a good reputation with Brentford FC, where he supervised the team for seven years.

The Dane led Brentford to promotion to the English Premier League in the 2020-2021 season.

The pressure of the Premier League is different

Tottenham Hotspur is ranked 16th in the Premier League table, having collected 29 points in 25 rounds.

Defeat No. 11 in the league, against Newcastle United, ended the coach Frank Cup, and the management office decided to end its duties.

Spurs have been unable to win eight consecutive matches in the English Premier League since the beginning of the new year.

The team was also eliminated from the FA Cup, after losing to Aston Villa in the third round.

In contrast to the domestic competition, Tottenham recorded excellent results in the Champions League, achieving fourth place to ensure their direct qualification to the round of 16.

It should be noted that Thomas Frank began his career with Tottenham by facing the Champions League champion, Paris Saint-Germain, in the European Super Cup.

Van de Van’s teammates lost the title after resorting to penalty kicks (6-5) after the end of regular time for the match in a 2-2 draw.
