The head of the medical delegation of the Algerian Hajj delegation for the “2026 Hajj” season, Dr. Mahmoud Dahman, stressed the need for candidates to declare their health status and ensure that they are free of a number of diseases, in line with Health conditions The new one approved by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

By the way, the head of the medical delegation provided clarifications regarding the vaccines that must be received, such as the vaccine against “meningitis,” which has become mandatory this season, with the exception of candidates who have previously performed Umrah to the Holy Places during the last five years.

He also pointed out, in a related context, that the vaccination certificate against “Covid-19“It is also one of the health requirements approved by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for this season, for pilgrims over the age of 65 years.

It is noteworthy that the medical cases subject to the declaration during this season are:Kidney failure Which requires dialysis, advanced heart failure, chronic lung diseases that require the use of oxygen, advanced cirrhosis and severe neurological or psychiatric diseases.”

The list also includes “old age accompanied by dementia, pregnancy in the last trimester or high-risk pregnancy, active infectious diseases, andCancer Active or cases subject to strong treatment,” noting that “failing to declare one of the medical conditions mentioned above may expose the person concerned to being deprived of performing the Hajj rituals.”
