
Digital meteorological models reported today, Sunday, that snow is expected to fall at heights above 900 to 1,100 metres, starting at noon on Monday, with thicknesses ranging between 5 and 10 cm recorded over most of the western, central and eastern highlands, and it may exceed 20 cm locally.
At the same time, according to a statement by the same interests, it is expected to record heavy thunderstorms with quantities ranging between 30 and 40 mm, and may exceed 50 mm locally, in most of the northern regions of the country.
The statement stated that the provinces affected by rain include Sidi Bel Abbes, Oran, Mostaganem, Ain Temouchent, Naama, El Bayadh, Camp, Tlemcen, Chlef, Ain Oleander, Saida, Mila, Laghouat, Djelfa, Tiaret, Algiers, Boumerdes, Tipaza, Blida, M’Sila, Biskra, Batna, Khenchela, Tebessa, Souk Ahras, Constantine, Annaba, Skikda, Jijel, Bejaia, Tizi Ouzou, in addition to the southern states of Bashar, Beni Abbes, Ghardaia, Touggourt, El Oued and Ouled Jalal.
On Tuesday, rainy weather is expected to continue at intervals, especially on the central and eastern coasts, starting in the late afternoon.
