Financing commercial accounts and canceling the previous memorandum…the Bank of Algeria clarifies!! – New Algeria

The Bank of Algeria has provided new clarifications regarding financing commercial accounts, as these accounts can be funded through written payment methods or cash payment, depending on the customer’s daily and weekly business volume.

The bank stressed that all operations must be compatible with the customer’s profile and consistent with the information available to the bank, ensuring the integrity of transactions and their compliance with established procedures.

On the other hand, the Bank of Algeria announced that this new memorandum cancels and replaces Memorandum No. 02 AGM/2025 dated December 22, 2025.

In the same context, the bank called for the necessity of taking into account customer vigilance measures in accordance with the risk-based approach, as was applied before the issuance of the previous memorandum.
