FAF calls for support for the Greens and opens an investigation into the refereeing of the Nigeria match – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) called on fans of the national team to show a spirit of unity and solidarity, and to continue supporting the “Greens” during this sensitive stage, after their exit from the quarter-finals of the African Cup of Nations against Nigeria.

In a statement published on its official website, today, Monday, the Federation confirmed its acceptance of the recorded sports result, while emphasizing the need to rally around the national team, which is going through a rebuilding phase and is working to gradually develop its performance.

In the same context, FAF announced a request to open an investigation into the performance of referee Issa Saye and his crew during the recent Nigeria match, in a step aimed at ensuring the application of justice and improving arbitration standards in upcoming competitions.
