During the regular media meeting, the President of the Republic revealed regarding the technical amendment to the Constitution that one of its examples is excluding the Speaker of the National Assembly from the mid-term renewal of members, so that his term becomes 6 years.
As for dialogue with political partners, President Tebboune said, “I do not dialogue with political partners for the sake of dialogue or to practice showmanship. The dialogue I engage in is a dialogue of partnership for the sake of building a state.”
The President of the Republic added, in the same context, that we do not see active political parties today in the field, while there are other parties that we only see at events and elections.
President Tebboune stressed that parties that do not have elected representatives in the councils cannot be considered parties that speak on behalf of society.
