Evacuation of Algerians from Oman through the land border crossing between Oman and Saudi Arabia – New Algeria

The Algerian Embassy in Muscat announced, to the knowledge of members of the national community residing or citizens present in the Sultanate of Oman, that within the framework of enabling male and female citizens to return to their places of residence outside the Sultanate, a number of arrangements have been made..
According to a statement by the embassy, these arrangements are intended to facilitate movement through the land border crossing between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (the Empty Quarter crossing).
The embassy’s services confirmed that they are working in continuous coordination with the Algerian Embassy in Riyadh, to facilitate the transit procedures for those wishing to do so. By keeping up with requests for land transit licenses.
The embassy also confirmed that priority in these procedures will be given to stranded citizens who are visitors (holding a tourist visa). Then for the rest of the community members who wish to leave by land.
Citizens wishing to benefit from these arrangements are requested to send their requests via the e-mail designated for the consular services.
It is necessary to mention the mobile phone number for communication, and to attach the following documents: a clear photocopy of a valid Algerian passport, and for visitors, a copy of the entry visa to the Sultanate, and for residents, a copy of the resident card.
