Establishing a crisis cell to monitor the situation of the Algerian community – New Algeria

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced, on Saturday, the installation of a central crisis cell to follow up on the conditions of members of the national community residing abroad, based on high instructions from the country’s higher authorities, following the dangerous military escalation and rapid developments taking place in the Middle East region..
According to a statement by the Ministry, the installation of this cell was supervised by Sufyan Chaib, Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the national community abroad, and the cell will undertake continuous coordination with the Algerian diplomatic and consular missions in the countries concerned, to ensure accurate follow-up of the conditions of Algerian citizens and provide them with the necessary support when needed.
The statement explained that this step falls within the framework of the public authorities’ constant keenness to protect members of the national community and ensure their safety, while harnessing all human and logistical capabilities to accompany them and take care of their concerns in light of these exceptional circumstances.
The Crisis Cell will also work to follow up on field developments in real time, and provide direct communication channels with members of the community, in addition to issuing periodic directives and instructions according to the development of the situation, in coordination with the various relevant national bodies.
At the conclusion of its statement, the Ministry affirmed that its interests remain mobilized around the clock to keep pace with developments in the situation, and to take the necessary preventive measures to ensure the security and safety of Algerian citizens wherever they are.
