Entente Sportive de Setifi dismisses its Serbian coach

The management of the club ES Setifi announced, on Sunday, the termination of the duties of the first team football coach, Serbian Milutin Sredojevic and his technical staff.

The management office made the decision after a proposal from Sports Director Ezz El-Din Aarab, after he was behind his appointment last November.

The sports administration appointed Algerian coach Lotfi Amrouche as Sredojevic’s successor, according to a statement published by the club.

Amroush, the technical model for Olympic Aqbou, recently left, where he was dismissed due to poor results.

The fifth defeat of ES Setif under the supervision of Sredojevic hastened the abandonment of the coach who recorded his attendance in 12 matches.

The Highland Eagles lost by two unanswered goals to the Constantine Sports Club, on the floor of the Chahid Hamalaoui Stadium in Constantine.

Al-Wefaq fell to 13th place in the overall standings of the first professional league championship, after only collecting 20 points from 19 matches.

The team was also eliminated from the Algerian Cup final, where it fell 2-1 to the Smurfs, also in Constantine.

Fourth coach and the season is not over yet

Entente Sportive de Setif has been going through a real crisis at the sporting level since the beginning of the 2025-2026 season.

The managers have been forced to lay off three coaches so far, the first of whom is German Thomas Haye, who was sacked in October.

Algerian Tawfiq Rawabah also withdrew due to pressure, as he supervised the team in four matches.

The new coach, Lotfi Amroush, will find himself required to save the team from falling to the second division, a task in which he succeeded with his former team, Mouloudia El Bayadh, last season.
