Eid al-Fitr…the first, second, and third of Shawwal is a paid holiday – New Algeria

reported General Directorate of Public Service and Administrative ReformThe first, second and third days of the month of Shawwal of the year 1447 AH (the days of Eid al-Fitr) will be a paid holiday.
A joint statement by the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security and the General Directorate of Public Employment and Administrative Reform stated. The holiday will be for the benefit of all employees of public institutions and departments, as well as all employees of public and private institutions in all sectors, including daily or hourly employees.
The statement pointed out that “the aforementioned public institutions, departments, agencies, offices and institutions must take the necessary measures to ensure continuity of service in the departments that operate on a rotational system.”
This procedure comes in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 63-278 of July 26, 1963, which includes the amended and supplemented list of legal holidays.
