During Ramadan.. launching an integrated device to ensure regular supply to the market – New Algeria

The Ministry of Internal Trade and National Market Control announced the establishment of an integrated device, in coordination with several sectors and control bodies, aimed at ensuring regular and continuous supply to the national market during the holy month of Ramadan.
The person in charge of the Ministry’s Directorate of Quality and Consumer Protection, Nour El-Din Haridi, explained in a statement to national radio that these measures aim to ensure the availability of widely consumed materials, especially agricultural products, in order to respond to the increasing demand experienced during this period of the year.
In this context, the spokesman revealed the opening of neighborhood markets starting next week, with at least one market in each municipality, to enable citizens to purchase basic materials at competitive prices.
In his speech, he referred to the decision to extend the promotional sale period (discounts), which began last January 18, to continue until the third day of Eid al-Fitr, in implementation of the Ministry’s instructions.
On the other hand, Haridi stressed the strengthening of oversight operations during the month of Ramadan, by recruiting a larger number of agents charged with suppressing fraud, with the aim of controlling the market, confronting illegal commercial practices, and protecting the purchasing power of citizens.
In the same regard, he mentioned the launch of a national awareness campaign under the slogan: “Abundance exists… rationalizing consumption is your choice,” extending until Eid al-Fitr, and aiming to encourage moderate and responsible consumption and reduce food waste.
He went on to explain that this campaign includes an integrated program that includes media flashes and activities through various media outlets, in addition to neighborhood field outings in coordination with various partners and relevant actors.
