During the past month of July, the National People’s Army detainees managed to arrest 18 support elements for terrorist groups, while 176 drug dealers were arrested and attempts to introduce approximately 29.58 quintals from the treated kif from Morocco.

The National Army detachments also arrested 1739 people in the framework of illegal smuggling and exploration for gold, and seized 157 vehicles of various varieties, 900 electric generators, 617 pressure hammer, 10 metal detectors, in addition to 324090 liters of fuel, and 28 hunting rifles and this during separate operations.

On the other hand, the coast and borders guards thwarted illegal immigration attempts, as 1317 illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested through national territory.

These qualitative operations, carried out by units and detachments of the National People’s Army, come in the context of the continuous efforts made in combating terrorism and fighting the organized crime in all its forms, to reflect the extent of high professionalism, vigilance and permanent preparedness of the armed forces across the entire national territory.
