Drowned in Al-Sablat Beach in the capital…5 children died – New Algeria

5 children who were recovered drowned from Al-Sablat Beach in the capital died, while 3 children are still in the recovery department and are in critical condition.

Civil Protection Services confirmed that the ages of the deceased children ranged from 9 to 12 years.

The Civil Protection Services announced the recovery of the body of a nine-year-old child who drowned in Al-Sablat Beach.

The same interests added that the operation came after hiring 10 divers and two boats.

The same interests also highlighted that the operation came after saving 6 children, 5 of whom were killed, while the search and rescue operation continues.

A Civil Protection statement included that its units intervened at approximately 19:30, in order to rescue and evacuate 06 children who drowned on Al-Sablat Beach, 5 of whom died.

Civil Protection indicated that the operation is continuing by the specialized diving teams, due to the possibility of the presence of a 13-year-old girl missing.

Meanwhile, Civil Protection reported that the children were on an outing organized by two associations from Medea and Bouira provinces.

A statement by the same interests concluded that the children who were evacuated and rescued belong to Ain Boussif primary school in the state of Medea.
