Digital transformation is a strategic choice and an embodiment of the vision of the President of the Republic

The Speaker of the National Assembly, Azouz Nasseri, stressed that digital transformation in Algeria has become a strategic option and a true embodiment of the vision of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, indicating that this trend is no longer just a circumstantial option, but has become an inevitable necessity linked to the effectiveness of public facilities and improving the quality of public services.

The Speaker of the National Assembly said during the opening of the parliamentary day activities titled “Digital transformation in Algeria…a strategic choice and embodiment of the vision of the President of the Republic” at the Assembly headquarters, that digitization represents a synonym for transparency, integrity, and clarity, and a synonym for reducing distances and shortening time, citing the President of the Republic’s saying, “Digitalization is all light.”

Nasseri explained that the digital transformation imposed a reformulation of the legal rules governing the work of public facilities and the legal relationship between the administration and the citizen, and brought about a transition from a traditional vertical relationship to a more interactive and open relationship, stressing that this transformation led to the emergence of a new image of the digital administrative decision that is created and communicated electronically.

The Speaker of the National Assembly indicated that Algeria, under the leadership of the President of the Republic, is betting on a digital transformation in all sectors to improve the efficiency of public services and administrative management, and to build an integrated digital system aimed at facilitating procedures, rationalizing public expenditures, and reducing time for citizens and institutions alike.

Nasseri pointed out that digital performance indicators show the development of electronic performance in Algeria in a positive and satisfying manner, stressing that these indicators confirm that Algeria has a cohesive backbone and a correct vision for the future.

The Speaker of the National Assembly took the opportunity to praise the historic event represented by the installation of the Algerian Children’s Parliament in the National People’s Assembly, noting that the establishment of a permanent committee concerned with digitization and artificial intelligence within the Children’s Parliament confirms that the status of the child in Algeria represents a strategic bet that combines the legal dimension, the sovereign dimension of the state, and the digital dimension.

The activities of the parliamentary day, which were proposed by the parliamentary group of the presidential third in the National Assembly, were attended by the President of the National People’s Assembly, the President of the Constitutional Court, the Advisor to the President of the Republic, the Minister and Governor of the State of Algiers, and the Head of the Supreme Authority for Transparency, Prevention and Combating of Corruption, along with high officials of the state and members of Parliament in its two chambers.
