The Algerian professional football championship competition for the current season (2025-2026) will conclude on May 22nd, according to what was revealed by the competition governing body.

The Federal Office of the Algerian Football Federation, during its meeting held yesterday, Thursday, at the National Technical Center in Sidi Moussa, approved the calendar for the second leg of the first Algerian professional championship, “Mobilis”, the conclusion of which was set for Friday, May 22, 2026, according to what the Professional Football League reported, in statement Her, last Thursday evening.

According to the approved program, four rounds of the tournament will be held during the month of February, while the last nine rounds will be played during the months of March, April and May, with an average of three rounds per month.

As for the late matches for the teams participating in the African club competitions, they will be scheduled starting from March 25, including the matches of Chabab Belouizdad – MC Algiers and USM Alger – JS Kabylie, to calculate the settlement of the 16th round.

The process of settling the calendar continues on Monday, March 30 for the 17th round, then on Friday, April 24 (round 18), before the late matches of the 19th round are held on Tuesday, 28 and Wednesday, April 29.

At the conclusion of its statement, the Association stressed that this calendar remains temporary and subject to amendment. This depends on the progress of the Algerian clubs in African competitions or other organizational considerations.

Unlike the past few seasons, in which the Algerian professional championship ended in June, the current season’s championship will end in late May, inspired by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), which demanded the end of all professional national leagues before the beginning of June, in order to allow the various teams participating in the 2026 World Cup to prepare well to compete in global competition.
