Today, the trial session of journalist Saad Bouaqba was held at the Bir Mourad Rais Court in the capital, where the public prosecutor sought a five-year prison sentence and a fine of two million dinars against Bouaqba, in addition to seeking a two-year prison sentence against the director of the Roya channel.
During the session, the daughter of the late President Ahmed Ben Bella demanded a symbolic dinar as civil compensation, while expressing her willingness to drop the complaint if the two defendants apologized for their actions. On the other hand, the Ministry of Mujahideen continues to pursue the case as a civil party, given the nature of the facts related to the symbols of the revolution.
The trial continued during the pleading stage of the defendants’ defense.
