Derbal stresses control over public water service – New Algeria

Stress Minister of Irrigation Taha Darbal, on the necessity of adopting foresight in modern planning and control of management Public water service.

At the beginning of a working and inspection visit to the state of Oum El Bouaghi, today, Monday, the Minister of Irrigation called for strengthening digitization and remote monitoring systems while combating illegal connections and leaks to ensure a quality public service that lives up to the aspirations of citizens.

The Minister of Irrigation issued instructions on the need to re-exploit filtered used water as a second, non-traditional source for irrigation and to improve disinfection facilities in order to preserve public health and the environment.

On the occasion of this visit, the Minister followed up with a presentation on the state of the public water service, especially the supply of potable water, disinfection and agricultural irrigation, considering Oum El Bouaghi is an agricultural state par excellence, in addition to efforts to protect against the dangers of floods.
