Creating specialized secondary schools in informatics and automated media – New Algeria

The Minister of National Education revealed, Muhammad Saghir SaadawiToday, Monday, we announced the creation of specialized secondary schools in informatics and automated media, within a comprehensive national vision to develop the educational system, in coordination with Ministry of Higher Education And scientific research, with the aim of “preparing students who possess scientific and technological competencies that qualify them for smooth integration into future university majors, especially in the fields of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.”“.
The Minister explained, when he was hosted at the National Radio Forum, today, that the reform of educational programs and curricula has become an inevitable necessity imposed by the rapid transformations in scientific and technological knowledge, in addition to the development of the economic and social environment, which, according to him, is directly reflected in the Algerian school, and makes it required to keep pace with this dynamic, in a way that serves the future of the country and ensures the formation of the human being in its cognitive and value dimension at the same time.
The Minister revealed the opening of a file for the preparation and study of a new division in secondary education, concerned with informatics and automated media, which provides initial training that allows students to better integrate into the relevant university specializations, especially higher schools specialized in Artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
He reiterated that the highest directives of the state and the decisions of the Councils of Ministers stress the necessity of opening the way for secondary schools specialized in the exact sciences, considering this type of education as a “mini-university” that allows the student greater depth in his chosen specialization, as is the case in the Mathematics Division, which aims to enable the student to gain theoretical and applied depth in mathematics and its related subjects, most notably physics.
Commenting on the results of the first semester of the academic year, the minister said that “his interests noticed a remarkable regularity in the classes, with great discipline by Professors“This contributed to creating an effective educational environment,” stressing that “good results were achieved for students at various levels.”
The Minister pointed out the improvement of the professional and social conditions of the bodies concerned with the national education sector, especially through issuing the basic law on caring for the human staff and supervising those involved, which reflects the Ministry’s keenness to support educators. Enabling them to perform their tasks efficiently.
On the other hand, the Minister revealed the reasons behind his interests resorting to integration, and said, “The Ministry resorted to integration during exceptional periods, when there was no possibility of holding competitions. This decision resulted in the integration of more than 82 thousand professors, after 62 thousand professors had previously been integrated in previous stages.”
According to the Minister, this measure was taken in particular during the Corona pandemic period to ensure the continuation of education and secure human resources for the sector, adding that with the start of the current school season, the Ministry announced the holding of a national competition based on the certificate. It is one of the largest competitions in the education sector. Contractors and beneficiaries of the integration, in addition to everyone with previous experience, can participate in the competition and present their certificates and expertise. The Ministry confirmed that the process is carried out digitally and with complete transparency, with the rating being published to everyone, to ensure justice and credibility.
Regarding the employment competition, the Minister settled the controversy regarding professional experience and said, “Professional experience of less than a month is not counted in the employment competition, while every experience exceeding a month is counted, provided that the relevant certificates are presented. Practical experience is also evaluated in parallel with the oral interview and the certificate is related to the specialty, which allows obtaining specialized competencies that meet the needs of the sector,” stressing in the end that “the stability of the professor and the development of his competencies are among our priorities, and that the current procedures reflect the balance between exceptional integration and legal competition, in order to ensure the quality of education.” And its continuity in all circumstances.”
