Concrete steps to improve the services of the National Retirement Fund

The Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Abdul Haqq Sayhi, ordered the adoption of a modern digital model, and also set the 2026 road map for the National Retirement Fund’s services.
This came while Minister Sayhi chaired, at the Ministry’s headquarters, an evaluation meeting devoted to following up and evaluating the activities of the National Retirement Fund, on Tuesday.
According to a statement by the Ministry, on Wednesday, “The Director General of the Fund presented a presentation on the outcome of the activities accomplished, and the most prominent achievements achieved, in addition to the outlined work plan for the year 2026, while reviewing the challenges and future prospects for improving the public service directed to the benefit of retirees.”
After listening to the presentation, according to the same statement, Minister Sayhi gave a set of strict instructions and directives to the Fund’s frameworks, through which he called for redoubling efforts and raising the level of performance, while working to improve the efficiency and quality of services provided to retirees and those with rights, in response to their needs guaranteed under the legislation in force and to consolidate the principles of the social state, stressing in this context that empowering retirees with their rights is an established constitutional right that does not accept any negligence or neglect.
The Minister continued that improving the quality of services provided to retirees and those with rights is a collective responsibility, which falls within the efforts aimed at enhancing social stability and ensuring effective and effective social coverage for all citizens.

Following this, the Minister issued a set of practical instructions that were based on basic axes, including, according to the same statement:
– Raising the level of efficiency and improving the quality of services provided to retirees by relying entirely on digitization.

Adopting rigor and effectiveness in dealing with citizens’ concerns, paying special attention to accompanying vulnerable groups and ensuring good reception and quality treatment.
– Investing in human resources through qualitative training programs aimed at improving performance and improving the quality of public service.
– Motivating employees and improving their career path, through mandatory continuous training after employment and adopting it as a basic criterion for promotion.
– Rationalizing expenditures and improving management methods without compromising the rights of beneficiaries, while accelerating the pace of digital transformation and simplifying administrative procedures.
Digitizing all National Retirement Fund services
The Ministry of Labor statement stated that Minister Sayhi stressed the necessity of accelerating the digitization of all National Retirement Fund services, completely abandoning traditional management patterns, and adopting a modern administrative model based on digitization and flexibility, by developing integrated digital platforms that provide various services, including the service of submitting applications for retirement grants remotely at the beginning of the year 2026, in line with the directives of the President of the Republic aimed at establishing an integrated digital government.
At the conclusion of the meeting, as the same statement stated, “The Minister reiterated his emphasis on the necessity of constantly ensuring that citizens’ concerns are effectively addressed and that they respond quickly to their requests, stressing that digitization represents the strategic choice and the best way to achieve this, and the primary guarantor of providing modern, effective and transparent services that ensure the comfort of the retiree and preserve his rights within the framework of social justice.”
