Civil protection enhances the capabilities of its units in the field of maritime interventions

The General Directorate of Civil Protection seeks to enhance the competencies of protection agents in the field of diving and maritime rescue, and to improve the ability of rapid and effective intervention in drowning accidents and marine disasters, where a training cycle was launched to raise the level of their training in this field.

The General Directorate of Civil Protection, under the supervision of the Director General of Protection, launched Colonel Boualam Boughalf, in implementation of the annual program and within the framework of the national strategy for the development of operational capabilities of civil protection agents and enhancing their readiness in the field of maritime interventions, to launch the national training session specialized in the field of diving “diver’s position”, at the Training Center in Maritime Salvation in Tipaza State.

This session comes in the context of the efforts made by the General Directorate of Civil Protection in order to keep pace with the increasing challenges related to marine safety, protect human lives in beaches and water bodies, and raise the level of professional training in line with international standards in the field of marine rescue and professional diving.

The training program extends over a period of 3 months, from October 5 to December 31, and includes several integrated training stages, the first stage is a common theoretical composition for the benefit of diver and ambulance and marine rescue elements, the second stage concerns the theoretical and applied formation in depth in diving and underwater techniques, then the third stage includes a field applied stacking for trainees through their original states.

55 pursuers representing 12 states from different regions of the country, Algeria, Tlemcen, Setif, Medea, Al -Messila, Oran, Boumerdes, Al -Tarif, Ain Temouchent, Baji Mukhtar Tower, Ain Saleh and Al -Manbia, where this geographical diversity reflects the national nature of training, and confirms the General Directorate of Protection’s keenness to involve all regions of the country in its development programs.

This training course also aims to enhance the competencies of civil protection agents in the field of diving and maritime rescue, to improve the ability to quickly and effectively intervene in drowning and marine disasters, developing field coordination between civil protection units at the national level, forming a nucleus of qualified tires to frame future courses and expand the base of professional divers.

The Directorate confirms its constant commitment to raising the level of specialized training, and investing in human capital as a basic guarantee to enhance the effectiveness of field interventions and protect citizens.
