Al-Hawari Abdel-Latif: International brands seek to produce in Algeria – Al-Hiwar Al-Jazaeryya

The sub-director for the follow-up and support of exports, in charge of running the National Agency for Export Promotion “algex” at the Ministry of Trade and Export Promotion, Abdellatif Houari, confirmed that Algeria will be a platform for exporting locally produced international brands to foreign markets.

And the same official indicated, during his appearance on the first radio channel, that several international brands seek to produce within the country, indicating that the signing of the memorandum of understanding with these brands is the result of a policy adopted by the Algerian state during the past 3 years, especially in the field of framing foreign trade.

The guest of the morning explained that the past year witnessed the organization of several meetings with blind people active in this field at the level of the GEX agency, as well as at the level of the headquarters of the Ministry of Commerce, to think together as administration and as public authorities for the sake of production within the country, especially with the entry into force of the investment law.

The sub-director for export follow-up and support revealed 4 companies that will enter into production starting from this month, and 16 other companies are in very advanced negotiations.

The spokesman pointed out that this investment will define great competitiveness for local producers in view of the great experience that these companies enjoy at the international level, especially in terms of marketing, design and export.

He added that the “decathlon” company entered the field of production, as it owns 18 products that are marketed under the “Made in Algeria” label, and that the assortment of locally produced materials will be expanded to more than 80 products before the end of the year, in addition to other products such as men’s and women’s clothing and clothing. Children, shoes and bags of various types and colors.

He also added that before the end of the year, one of the companies will be a platform for exporting its products to European countries and capitals, as well as several international brand stores seeking to receive a product made in Algeria before the end of 2023.

“The added value offered by these international brands is to give great competitiveness to the textile sector in Algeria, and our attempt as a sector to raise the integration rate, define several criteria for marketing within the country, and expand the distribution network in the various states of the country to deliver these products,” says the spokesman.

As for the Tayal Textiles Company, Abdul Latif Hawari affirmed that it is able to meet the needs of the economic operators who are active in this field and focus on exporting. Export to achieve respectable amounts of hard currency.

With regard to the activities of the National Salon for Textile Products, Clothing and Shoes, which will continue until April 19, the spokesman explained that the aim of organizing this trade fair for sale, especially in the last ten days of Ramadan, is to help Algerian families acquire Eid clothes at very competitive prices, as the exhibitors allocated discounts of more than 50 percent off on all products.
