Budja: Zinnbauer will remain in his position

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Youth Kabylie Club, Adel Boudja, renewed his confidence in the coach of the first football team, the German Josef Zinnbauer.

Boudja held his first press conference, on Wednesday, after his appointment by the Mobilis Foundation, which owns the club, to succeed Hedi Ould Ali.

The club’s chief official said: “Joseph Zinnbauer will remain in his position.”

In addition to the coach’s file, Boudja talked about many points related to the future of the first team and its surroundings.

The spokesman called on the team’s supporters to support him and be patient, stressing that he will ensure that the club is run in a transparent manner.

Zinnbauer came to the forefront recently, following an incident in which he quarreled with some supporters who had traveled to Zanzibar to attend the match against Young Africans in the closing round of the African Champions League.

The German explained his reaction to the fans by the insults he and his assistant were subjected to. The latter tried to spit on him, according to the message that the coach posted on social media.

Zinnbauer expressed his willingness to leave if the administration decided to dismiss him, during the meeting organized by the management office after the team’s return from Tanzania.

JS Kabylie ended its participation in the competition with a third loss in six matches, which pushed it to last place with three points scored from three draws.

The first team’s negative results precipitated several changes, most notably the dismissal of Chairman of the Board of Directors Al-Hadi Ould Ali and General Manager Hakim Madane.

The coach and players disappointed the team’s fans during the first stage of the season, as they missed almost all of the scored goals.

JS Kabylie is ranked tenth in the First Professional League table, and was eliminated from the Algerian Cup early (round of 16 against USM El Harrach), in addition to being eliminated from the group stage of the African Champions League.
