Britain launches a digital visa for Algerians without a sticker on the passport – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

She declared British Embassy in Algeria Adopting a fully digital immigration system that grants Algerians an electronic visa without putting a sticker on the passport, starting from February 25, 2026.

The embassy confirmed, in a statement on its official Facebook page, that the new procedure falls within the modernization of the visa system, as the British ambassador to Algeria explained, in a video message, that visa applicants will receive e-Visa A digital visa instead of the traditional visa stamped on the passport.

Simplified procedures and greater security

According to the clarifications, during the filing date of the application, the biometric data of those concerned will be collected, while the passport will be retained, and the visa will be issued in electronic form.

The embassy confirmed that the new system provides a higher level of security and ease of use, within the framework of the digital transformation adopted by the United Kingdom in the field of immigration and visitor movement.
