Boussoir saves the youth of Belouizdad in a deadly time – New Algeria
CS Belouizdad returned with a valuable draw from outside the home, after imposing a one-goal result against its host, the Egyptian Club of Port Said, on Saturday evening, in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the African Confederation Cup, in the match hosted by the Suez Stadium.
The first stage of the confrontation was average in terms of technical level, as play was limited for most of its periods in the midfield area, with a scarcity of dangerous opportunities for the goalkeepers, which made the first half end without goals.
With the start of the second half, the hosts were able to break the deadlock and open the scoring in the 55th minute via a penalty kick, giving the advantage to the Egyptian team.
Despite the delay in the result, the Algerian football representative continued his pressure in search of adjusting the balance, and relief came in the final moments of the match, when the substitute winger Bousouar succeeded in equalizing in the first minute of stoppage time (90 + 1), after a powerful shot with his left hand from outside the penalty area, benefiting from a distinguished pass from his colleague Bin Ghaith.
This draw is a positive result for CS Belouizdad outside the rules, especially since the team played the confrontation in the absence of two influential elements in the back line, namely defender Shuaib Kaddad and left back Noufal Khasif.
The date will be with the decisive return match on Saturday, March 21, when the sons of Laqiba will welcome their Egyptian guest, Port Said, starting at eight o’clock in the evening at the Nelson Mandela Stadium, in an anticipated confrontation in which the finalist to the semi-finals will be decided.
