Today, Tuesday, the President of the National People’s Assembly, Ibrahim Boughali, received the Ambassador of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic to Algeria, Khatri Adoh Khatri.
The Council explained in a statement that during the meeting, the fraternal relations between the two brotherly peoples and ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two legislative institutions were discussed.
By the way, Boughali reaffirmed Algeria’s firm position in support of the right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination, in accordance with international legitimacy and relevant United Nations resolutions.
For his part, the Sahrawi ambassador praised the role played by the National People’s Assembly through parliamentary diplomacy, stressing that the Sahrawi Parliament draws inspiration from and benefits from the Algerian experience, especially in the areas of legislation and development of the legal system.
