The head of the National People’s Assembly, Ibrahim Boughali, said that the Children’s Parliament is not just a symbolic framework, but rather a sublime national space that embodies Algeria’s new vision of building a conscious and responsible generation, explaining that the state is betting on childhood as the cornerstone of every renaissance project and sustainable democratic building, pointing out that nations are not measured by the wealth they possess, but rather by the generations they create, imbued with values and capable of preserving integrity and transmitting the message.
In his speech during his supervision of the inauguration session of the Algerian Children’s Parliament, on Monday, Boghali expressed his pride in this special moment, which he stressed embodies the vision of the Algerian state, led by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in involving young people in public life, and consolidating the values of citizenship and positive participation from a young age. He added that this educational initiative is the result of cooperation between professors, educators, parents, and state institutions, and that it is an embodiment of the belief that true investment is in humans, and that the child is the foundation of construction and the bearer. He added that every intervention or proposal presented within this framework is a practical exercise in assuming responsibility and exercising teamwork. He stressed that citizenship is not slogans that are raised but rather behavior that is practiced, highlighting that the Children’s Parliament helps them understand the issues of their society and transform ideas into initiatives and initiatives into achievements, urging children to embody Their love for Algeria is an everyday behavior, and they must always remember that its land, which was watered by the blood of the martyrs, has a long history.
He pointed out that the Children’s Parliament is a natural extension of the role of the Algerian school, in consolidating the values of hard work and diligence, encouraging academic excellence, and enhancing the spirit of initiative, excellence and discipline, calling on children to keep pace with scientific and digital transformations, develop critical and creative thinking skills, and interact with the developments of the times with awareness and responsibility.
Bogali reminded the children that they represent their colleagues and convey their aspirations and concerns, calling on them to carry out their duties in a spirit of responsibility, just as people’s representatives do in legislation and oversight, by preparing reports and recommendations and following up on programs.
