The Minister of National Education, Mohamed Saghir Saadawi, revealed on Saturday the organization of a second recruitment competition for teachers during the year 2026, with the aim of covering the growing needs of the educational sector and ensuring adequate pedagogical supervision of educational institutions.
This announcement came during the Minister’s supervision of the launch of the third edition of the Mathematics Olympiad, where he visited the Omrani Brothers Middle School and Al-Maqrani High School, stressing that the new competition will be accompanied by professional exams for the rest of the job ranks to meet the administrative needs of the sector.
Regarding the recruitment competition based on the current certificate, the Minister explained that the oral interview will take place next February 21, and will be completely digital, in a step aimed at modernizing recruitment mechanisms and ensuring transparency. Saadawi stressed that the Ministry’s interests are working hard to ensure that this competition is organized in an atmosphere characterized by complete transparency and clarity, in a way that ensures fair and just competition among all candidates.
The Minister of Education stressed that the main goal of these competitions is to provide the educational sector with the necessary and qualified competencies that carry the required academic and pedagogical qualifications, in a way that ensures raising the level of supervision in educational institutions. He added that this endeavor comes within the framework of achieving quality in education, which requires attracting competencies capable of contributing effectively to the educational process and keeping pace with modern pedagogical developments.
In this context, the Ministry of National Education announced an exceptional extension of the registration deadlines for employment competitions based on certificates to join the ranks of professors for the year 2025, after registering a deficit in the number of candidates compared to the number of open positions in some states and subjects.
According to a statement by the Ministry, registration extends from January 15 to 20, through the electronic platform of the National Office for Examinations and Competitions, with an exceptional exemption from submitting a residence card. The competition includes the ranks of professor of primary, intermediate, and secondary education, first division, in several subjects, including the Amazigh language, French, physical education, music, and drawing, distributed among different states such as Goram, Tamanrasset, Tlemcen, Bechar, Sidi Bel Abbes, and others.
The Ministry confirmed that this measure is exceptional and priority is given to residents of the states concerned, while adhering to the same conditions and procedures specified in Circular No. 713 dated December 11, 2025.
