Bezeshkian: Iran will not target the Gulf states unless they are attacked by them – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced on Saturday that neighboring Gulf states will no longer be targeted unless Iran is attacked from its territory, at a time when the US-Zionist war with the Islamic Republic enters its second week.

Pezeshkian said in a speech broadcast on state television, “The Interim Command Council agreed yesterday not to launch attacks or missile strikes on neighboring countries unless an attack on Iran is launched from those countries.”

Since the outbreak of the war on February 28, Tehran has continued to target American interests and economic facilities in the Gulf states with missile and drone attacks, stressing that it is not targeting these countries, but rather the American bases there.

Pezeshkian added: “I apologize to the neighboring countries that Iran attacked.”

It is noteworthy that the war has resulted in the deaths of 13 people in the Gulf states since its beginning, including an 11-year-old girl who was injured by shrapnel in a residential area in Kuwait.
