Benjamin Stora, during his appearance as a guest on the “France Info” channel, expressed his extreme anger at the activator’s focus on the Algerian influencer known for his hostility to Algeria, instead of directing the discussion on “major issues and affairs, such as nuclear tests, those missing in the Battle of Algiers, and others.” In a tone that mixes anger and belittlement.
Stora, in a tone of anger, asked the journalist a question: “What am I doing here? I am not here to talk about this influence… and I was not invited to talk about it, but rather to delve into bigger issues,” recalling the saying: “Hundreds of thousands of Algerians were killed… this is an important issue. You have the French nuclear tests in Algeria, you have the issue of those missing in the Battle of Algiers… all of them are thorny issues that must be raised on French television.”
For his part, the French journalist was confused by Stora’s reaction, trying to justify his inclusion of the influencer in the discussion, under the pretext that it was one of the reasons for the tension in relations between Algeria and Paris, in reference to the case of the “attempted kidnapping” in which an employee of the Algerian embassy in Paris was accused.
It should be noted that the French media launched a fierce campaign against Algeria against the backdrop of the government channel “France 2” broadcasting a documentary program, which Algeria considered offensive to it and its symbols, which resulted in the Algerian Foreign Ministry summoning the French ambassador to Algeria.
