Petkovic excludes two players from facing Saudi Arabia

Coach Vladimir Petkovic decided to release the duo, Hisham Boudawi and Mohamed El-Amin Ammoura, from the Al-Khader training camp in Jeddah.
The Algerian Football Federation published a statement in which it explained the reason for the players’ departure 48 hours before facing the Saudi national team.
The injury prevented Hicham Boudawi, a professional at the French club Nice, from joining his teammates in group training.
The midfielder suffered from pain that prompted the medical staff to undergo treatment sessions, and to exclude him from coach Petkovic’s options in the friendly match against Zimbabwe.
The technical staff refused to take the risk of keeping the player two days before the end of the preparatory camp, and decided to let him return to France.
The name of the German Wolfsburg striker, Mohamed Al-Amin Ammoura, was dropped from the team’s list before facing Al-Akhdar Al-Saudi, also due to injury.
In contrast to Boudaoui, the decision to relieve Ammora appears to be optional because his injury is not worrisome.
The top scorer in the African World Cup qualifiers (10) played the entire Zimbabwe match, where he scored and provided an assist.
