Beckham receives an Emirati offer to support the acquisition of Manchester United – Al-Hiwar Algeria

Former English football star David Beckham (50 years old) received an official offer to support the attempt to acquire Manchester United, which is experiencing an extended sporting crisis that has kept it from competing for the English Premier League title and qualifying for the Champions League.

According to the British newspaper “Mirror”, Beckham received an offer from an Emirati company to be an ambassador as part of a deal to buy the majority stake owned by the Glazer family in the club.

While giving him the possibility of direct financial investment in the team.

Beckham already owns shares in American clubs Inter Miami and English club Salford City.

The newspaper noted that this move comes after Beckham’s previous statements in which he criticized the Glazer administration.

He called for the club to be sold in favor of investors capable of bringing it back to prominence.

It is noteworthy that the “Eneos” group, affiliated with billionaire Jim Ratcliffe, had acquired 27.7% of Manchester United’s shares in February 2024.

Its share later increased to about 29%.

However, Beckham’s possible entry into the line may change the balance of the expected acquisition deal and return the spotlight again to the “Red Devils.”
