Bank of Algeria is reminiscent of the right to exchange right – new Algeria

The Bank of Algeria stated today, Thursday, that the right to exchange granted to travel abroad is a purely personal right, and it is not permissible in any way to give it up or use it by a third party, according to the in effect.

This reminder, according to a statement issued by the bank, comes after the circulation of contents via social networks that promote organized flight activities abroad, including some practices that violate the regulation of exchange and legislation related to combating money laundering.

The same source pointed out that the instruction No. 05-2025 related to the right to exchange in order to travel abroad, especially in its tenth article, stipulates the explicit prohibition of any behavior aimed at transferring the destination for the use of the amount of the exchange of exchange allocated to travel abroad, stressing that any violation of these provisions is subjected to judicial follow-up in accordance with the valid legislation.

On the other hand, the Bank of Algeria called on citizens to respect the purpose of this right, which is exclusively in financing the establishment of a personal beneficiary abroad, recalling that it completely prohibits the delivery of this amount to any other party, under any form, the statement adds.
