Attaf receives the senior advisor to the American President - New Algeria

The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received today at the Ministry’s headquarters the Senior Advisor to the US President for Africa, Arab Affairs, and the Middle East, Massad Boulos, who is on an official visit to Algeria.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs held – according to Statement from the MinistryHe met individually with Massad Boulos, followed by an expanded meeting that included members of the Algerian and American delegations.

The meeting was an opportunity to review various aspectsFor Algerian-American relationsAnd discuss ways to enhance it and raise it to the highest possible levels.

The two parties noted the importance of strengthening the existing strategic dialogue between Algeria and the United States, and reiterated the need to continue the positive dynamic that characterizes the bilateral partnership, especially in the economic fields.

The two parties also exchanged views on the most prominent current issues in the Arab world and the African continent, especially developments in the situation in Libya, the Sahel and the Sahara, as well as Western Sahara.
