Atf describes the statements of a coup in Mali as peaks of insolence and slander – New Algeria

The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Ataf, delivered “the speech of Algeria” in the general discussion session of the 80th session of the General Assembly For the United NationsStressing Algeria’s steadfast position in supporting fair issues on the international scene, while highlighting regional crises, including the Palestinian issue, Western Sahara, and the Libyan crisis.

But the speech delivered by Atf took a sharp approach when he touched on the escalating crisis between Algeria and the Republic of Mali after a series of hostile statements made by the revolutionary officials in Mali against Algeria. Ataf described the statements of a coup in Mali as “peaks of insolence and slander”, noting that she “deserves only contempt”, describing this as “delirium a charlatan soldier” that only expresses internal failure.

Attaf stressed in his speech that Algeria will not allow its relations with its neighbor Mali due to the individual actions of people in power, but rather the hand of Algeria will remain extended to its “financial brothers” in their endeavor to achieve stability and national unity. He added that Algeria “realizes perception that Mali cannot be reduced in a boga that does not see the future of her country with a horizon except by adhering to power.”

These statements come at a sensitive time, as Algeria shows its steadfast commitment to achieving peace and reforms in the African Sahel region, while it faces continuous threats from armed and terrorist groups in the region.

But the crisis with Mali remains the most prominent event in this word, as Ataf directed sharp words to officials in Mali, expressing Algeria’s dissatisfaction with the recent escalation against it, considering that these statements “do not express the desire of the financial people” but rather are “failed attempts to cover internal failure.”

He explained that Algeria will not allow any attacks or political campaigns to threaten the stability of relations between the two countries, stressing that Algeria remains “safe for its principles in promoting peace and stability in the region”, while stressing that Algeria “will not be provoked” and will continue to support the stability of the region at all levels.

The crisis with Mali remains one of the most prominent issues that require the movement of the international community to put an end to it, especially in light of the rapid developments in the Sahel and Sahara region. Algeria, which has maintained its steadfast position in supporting fair issues, appears to be determined to defend its principles and not allow any political escalation that affects strategic relations in the region.

Atf calls for the suspension of foreign interference in Libya

On the other hand, Atf called for the suspension of foreign interference in the Libyan affairs, considering that this intervention contributes to fueling the internal divisions in Libya and prolongs the crisis. He added that the Libyan people “deserves to decide their fate himself away from external pressures.”

Atf did not lose sight of the main international issues such as the Palestinian issue, stressing that Algeria will remain the first defender Palestinian people So that he can establish his independent state on the 1967 borders and its capital, Al -Quds Al -Sharif.

With regard to the African continent, the most prominent challenges facing the continent, from terrorism to continuous marginalization in international decision -making centers. He also called for strengthening cooperation between African countries, and the exploitation of the major economic opportunities provided by the continental free trade zone to achieve a sustainable economic renaissance.
