These are President Tebboune’s instructions at the Cabinet meeting

The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, chaired a Council of Ministers meeting that dealt with a draft law that included a technical constitutional amendment, and two organic draft laws related to the electoral system and political parties, in addition to a presentation regarding compensation for transportation costs in the economic field, where he gave many instructions.

According to the statement of the Presidency of the Republic, “After presenting the agenda, and then the Prime Minister’s presentation of government activity for the last two weeks, the President of the Republic issued orders, instructions and directives as follows:

1- Regarding the technical amendment to the Constitution:

The President of the Republic ordered the postponement of the technical amendment to the Constitution, in order to deepen the study, in order to enhance the democratic electoral gain represented by the Independent National Elections Authority.

2- Regarding the organic law for elections:

President Tebboune ordered the amendments to be reconsidered and studied more carefully, as long as they are of a purely technical nature.

He ordered the separation between what is formal in the amendments and what is substantive.

3- Regarding the organic law of political parties:

The Council of Ministers approved the draft organic law related to political parties, after approving the proposed amendments requested by the political parties.

The President emphasized that these amendments aim, in their entirety, to bring about integration in the law, which is considered one of the most democratic laws.

The President of the Republic blessed the Algerian political family with this new gain for the benefit of the Algerian democratic scene.

4- Regarding a presentation on compensation for transportation costs in the economic field:

The offer was studied in the Council of Ministers in accordance with the general data of the economic field.
